Biography:

Tom teaches on both electric and acoustic guitar. He hopes to help his students make progress towards their individual goals on the instrument through learning songs (tablature or standard notation), sight reading, technical studies, and music theory. Student input is encouraged when it comes to choosing some lesson material, but necessary topics will be covered as well. Since everyone has a different learning style and speed, each lesson is tailored towards the individual as much as possible.

Tom attended McNally Smith College of Music and received his Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance in 2010. He has taught private guitar lessons since 2011, previously keeping a studio at the Burnsville Schmitt Music location until 2020. He has released albums and performed with VGM band Do a Barrel Roll! (2012-present) and instrumental rock/fusion group The Brains Of This Operation? (2012-2013).
