Biography:

Mark Luger has been teaching at Schmitt Music for more than 20 years. He recieved a B.A. in saxophone performance from St. John's University, studying with Dr. Rita Knuesel. He has received master lessons from Dr. Eugene Rousseau at the University of Minnesota School of Music and Daniel Deffayet, Professor of Saxophone at the Paris Conservatory of Music. He has served as the saxophone section coach with the Minnesota All-State Band and directs and performs in Java Jam, a professional jazz combo and Luger Ensemble, a professional classical music ensemble.
