Biography:

Anthony has a passion for the arts and for supporting others, especially children, discover and foster their love of music. As Trumpet Shop Manager for Schmitt Music, he is dedicated to ensuring that musicians find the best match for their individual playing styles and personalities. He enjoys working with players of all levels, from beginning players to lifelong musicians. In addition to his responsibilities at Schmitt Music, Anthony teaches private lessons on a variety of instruments, including trumpet. He has been a private instructor in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area for six years.

Anthony earned his associates degree from Anoka Ramsey Community College, where he studied under Geoff Senn. While earning his degree, he remained an active member of the colleges music community, serving as lead trumpet in the Jazz Ensemble and section leader in the Concert Band. Currently, Anthony is pursuing his Bachelors in Music Education at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he receives instruction from Dr. Thomas Barnett. Anthony has also studied with Paul Stodolka and Riley Helgeson. He plans to pursue a Masters degree in Music Therapy.

Anthony is an active member of the Twin Cities music community. He played in the North Suburban Concert Band and served on their board as Webmaster. He has also played in multiple local bands, including a funk band, and can be heard on recordings with a local Ska band called Runaway Ricochet.

Apart from music, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife (Amber), dog (Daisy May), and two cats (Oliver and Gemina). He is also a dedicated martial artist and kickboxer.


Minimum Age:

Anthony has requested a minimum age of 7 years old.
