Biography:

Melodie A Smith-Valle has been teaching piano professionally for 15+years. She has a BA in Music from Moorhead State University, and a masters in Piano Pedagogy(in depth study of various teaching methods), Piano Accompanying and Performance from the University of Texas.

She has taught students from age 4 to 80, teaching all genres of music from jazz to classical. She is well versed in all teaching method books, including the Suzuki method. She strives to teach note reading along with sight reading so student are equally adept in both areas. Lesson plans will be structured according to the student musical interests and learning style. Students will also be encouraged to create their own compositions early on in the learning process.

Minimum Age:

Melodie has requested a minimum age of 4 years old.
