Biography:

Benjamin Baldridge graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Guitar Performance from the Eastman School of Music. He has been teaching acoustic, electric, classical and bass guitar at Schmitt Music since 2001. He is also the Group Guitar instructor. Ben crafts each lesson to the individual needs of each student, with topics ranging from improvisation and composition to music theory and note reading. Ben is comfortable teaching all styles of music including rock, pop, classical and blues. His goal is to help each student develop a life long love of music and to reach their individual goals on their instrument. Ben has played in a wide variety of ensembles including duos, trios, guitar orchestra and with various rock bands. He is currently playing and singing as a solo artist around the Twin Cities area and with a couple of local bands. Ben has studied guitar with Dr. Nicholas Goluses and Dr. Mark Switzer and was a member of Collegium at Eastman under the direction of world renowned lutenist Paul O'Dette. Ben also plays the drum set and the piano.


Minimum Age:

Ben has requested a minimum age of 7 years old.
